Many of our private home cinema enquiries have come to us and stated that other sound companies have indicated to them that a sound proofed home cinema can not be done in an existing home. 

“Just go to a rubber joint and stick some foam on your wall”

was one sound companies solution to one of our clients.  This is totally false as many of our installations are in pre existing homes. 

“If you have insulation in your walls you will be alright”

was another and once again this is totally false if you want a sound proofed cinema. Insulation is ok if want to stay cool in summer and warm in winter but the average insulation put into homes is not adequate for total sound applications.

The most popular application for Residential home theatre rooms is the acoustic panels. They are of a timber frame with fabric covering to the customers preference and can be easily installed. For rental properties they can be easily removed.

The booth below was built in an existing 5 storey apartment building and had to be sound proofed as the other residents wouldn't appreciate a set of drums playing till all hours. We built the drum booth so now they can use their drums without any sound escaping the booth to disturb the other residents.

(And this client was told by other companies that it couldn't be done!!!)
